Psychological Counseling Unit
The Psychological Counseling Unit in the Department of Medical Instrumentation Engineering Technology is dedicated to providing psychological and educational counseling and support services to the department’s students, contributing to a safe and stimulating campus environment for learning and innovation. The unit aims to promote students’ mental health, assist them in adapting to university life, and foster their personal and social skills, which positively impacts their academic achievement and professional conduct.
The unit operates in coordination with the Department Headship and the College’s Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit to execute awareness programs and activities. It organizes seminars and workshops covering mental health topics, stress management, effective communication, self-confidence building, and the prevention of negative behavior within the university community. Additionally, it provides individual consultations in strict confidentiality, following up on cases requiring further support or referral to specialized authorities when necessary to ensure adequate psychological and educational care for students.
Furthermore, the unit contributes to enhancing values of belonging, responsibility, and adherence to university ethics, aligning with the department’s mission to prepare engineers who possess scientific competence, psychological balance, teamwork capabilities, and a commitment to serving society.
