International Students
The Department of Building and Construction Engineering Technology welcomes a group of international students as part of the “Study in Iraq” initiative launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to enhance the role of Iraqi universities as attractive regional educational hubs. The department is committed to providing a comprehensive learning environment that helps international students integrate and achieve academic and social success from the moment they arrive.
Students arriving from abroad are provided with dedicated on-campus housing that offers a suitable level of comfort and security, along with facilities that facilitate their studies and settling in. Daily services, maintenance, and security are also provided around the clock. They also benefit from financial support in the form of grants and monthly stipends that help cover their living expenses, with the possibility of tuition waivers or reductions depending on their admission status. International students receive continuous academic support through academic advising, which assists them in understanding the study system and planning their academic path. Language support is also provided when needed to ensure their smooth integration into lectures and academic activities. The university also provides administrative services that facilitate all procedures related to residency, visas, and updating official documents, in cooperation with relevant government agencies. From a health perspective, students benefit from the services of the university health center, which include medical examinations, basic treatments, and first aid, ensuring continuous healthcare throughout their studies. Cultural and social events are also held to integrate them with peers from different academic levels and encourage their participation in university life and the exchange of experiences with Iraqi students. The department believes that international students add academic and cultural value to the university community, and therefore strives to provide everything possible to ensure a safe, stable, and enriching educational experience.
