Psychological Counseling Unit

The Psychological Counseling Unit of the Department of Power Mechanics Engineering Technology is dedicated to providing psychological, educational, and counseling services to students, contributing to a safe, supportive, and stimulating academic environment that fosters learning, innovation, and personal development. The unit aims to promote students’ mental well-being, assist them in adapting to university life, and enhance their personal and interpersonal skills, thereby improving their academic performance and professional conduct.

The unit works in close coordination with the Department Administration and the College’s Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit to implement awareness programs and educational activities. It also organizes seminars and workshops on topics such as mental health, stress management, effective communication, self-confidence, and the prevention of negative behaviors within the university community. In addition, the unit provides confidential individual counseling services and follows up on cases requiring psychological support or referral to specialized services when necessary, ensuring that students receive appropriate care and guidance.

Furthermore, the unit promotes the values of belonging, responsibility, integrity, and adherence to university ethics, in line with the department’s mission of preparing technically competent engineers who possess not only strong scientific and professional qualifications but also psychological resilience, teamwork skills, and a commitment to serving society.
