Learning Outcomes

The Educational Program of the Department of Medical Instrumentation Techniques Engineering is designed to achieve a set of distinctive educational objectives that directly contribute to the learning outcomes of its graduates. Upon successful completion of the program, students are expected to demonstrate the following competencies:

  1. Knowledge of Medical Materials and Methods
    Demonstrate a solid understanding of medical materials, techniques, and procedures, including their properties, advantages, limitations, and applications in healthcare environments.
  2. Knowledge of Medical Devices
    Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the operation, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and safe use of medical devices and equipment.
  3. Ability to Read and Interpret Technical Drawings
    Read, interpret, and utilize technical drawings, engineering schematics, service manuals, and equipment documentation, including dimensions, sectional views, and detailed technical specifications.
  4. Communication and Teamwork
    Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, patients, clients, and medical equipment users while working collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare and engineering teams.
  5. Safety Awareness
    Demonstrate a thorough understanding of health and safety regulations in healthcare environments, including hazards associated with high-voltage electrical systems, patient handling, infection control, biological hazards, and the safe operation of specialized medical equipment such as radiological devices.
