The Electrical Engineering Technology Department seeks to prepare qualified and distinguished technical engineering cadres equipped with cognitive and practical skills that meet the diverse requirements of the labor market and keep pace with rapid technological advancements in power sectors, electrical systems, and smart control, in accordance with national and international academic quality standards.

1. Knowledge and Understanding

  • Engineering Foundations: Acquiring a deep understanding of the core mathematical, scientific, and technical principles in the fields of electrical circuits, electronics, power systems, and automatic control.

  • Modern Systems: Familiarity with renewable and sustainable energy technologies, smart grids, Micro-Grid systems, and mechatronics keeping pace with technological developments.

  • Standard Criteria: Knowledge of occupational safety codes, as well as local and international standard specifications approved in the design and implementation of electrical installations.

2. Cognitive Skills

  • Analysis and Problem-Solving: The ability to diagnose faults, analyze complex technical problems in power and control systems, and propose appropriate engineering solutions.

  • Design and Innovation: Possessing the skill to design and develop secondary electrical and electronic circuits to ensure enhanced performance efficiency and reduced energy consumption.

3. Practical and Professional Skills

  • Operation and Maintenance: Acquiring high practical capability in testing, operating, and maintaining electrical machines, transformers, generators, and industrial Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).

  • Engineering Software: Proficiency in utilizing modern engineering simulation and modeling software (such as MATLAB, AutoCAD Electrical, LabVIEW) and applying them effectively in the field.

  • Project Management: Excellence in planning and field supervision for executing electrical installations in buildings and factories, and managing technical work teams.

4. General and Transferable Skills

  • Teamwork and Leadership: The ability to interact positively and work collaboratively within a single team spirit in multidisciplinary engineering work environments.

  • Effective Communication: The skill to prepare periodic technical reports and present engineering ideas clearly and smoothly in both Arabic and English.
