Program Objectives:

The program aims to prepare and graduate an outstanding, innovative, and interactive engineering cadre capable of communicating and interacting with undergraduate and research students, as well as collaborating effectively with fellow engineers and faculty members in the workplace, by providing the necessary expertise in scientific fields and global communication skills. The department aims to establish distinguished educational programs, which can be summarized as follows:

• Engineering is an applied science that reflects real-world scenarios and can be acquired through studying and understanding other fields of knowledge, such as mathematics and applied sciences. Therefore, through this educational program, graduate students will be prepared and equipped with scientific and engineering technology, acquiring comprehensive knowledge and extensive experience in practicing and applying engineering sciences, mathematics, and natural sciences.

• Medical Instrumentation Engineering Technology focuses on studying engineering and applied sciences and applying them practically in laboratories. Consequently, postgraduates in this specialization will be equipped with a solid theoretical and practical scientific background across various fields.

• Master’s degree holders in Medical Instrumentation Engineering Technology will be qualified to teach and make informed, optimal decisions that serve research and development across various professional sectors. Thus, the program aims to enhance students’ analytical and cognitive skills, empowering them to make sound decisions and solve any complex problems they face.

• The program aims to provide graduate students with advanced, comprehensive scientific expertise and professional skills in medical instrumentation engineering technology. Furthermore, it seeks to develop students’ abilities to resolve complex issues covering a broad range of practical concerns within their domain.

• Developing graduate students’ capabilities to conduct scientific research, carry out studies, and offer advisory services in medical instrumentation engineering technology, directly aligned with society’s needs and labor market demands through the department’s academic curriculum, which plays a vital role in scientific and technological advancements.

• The mission of the program lies in providing an educational, technical, and research-conducive environment for students through modern academic curricula that highlight the significance of this specialization. This includes providing scientific curricula, state-of-the-art practical laboratories, and advanced applied research to simulate labor market needs, foster engagement with healthcare institutions, and contribute to advancing healthcare services on both regional and international levels.
